  Notes	John Lewis was a mason. His wife inherited half a farm at Radnor and John bought the other half and an adjacent 160 acres, probably north of St. Davids. - Genealogy of the Family of Henry Lewis, p. 10 John wrote his will on 22 Oct 1775 describing himself as of Radnor Township in Chester County. He left his beloved wife Catherine the use of his plantation and one hundred pounds payable to her by his son Evan. He left Evan 160 acres in Radnor purchased of Thomas Lloyd, his son Samuel the sum of sixty pounds, his son John also sixty pounds and the same amount to his daughter Elizabeth Tucker. His son John, or John's heirs or administrators, was to be paid three pounds yearly for the use of Rachel, the wife of James McCulloh during her natural life. John also left bequests to the three children of his daughter Elizabeth. His son Evan was the sole Executor. John Lewis' will was proved on 11 Jan 1779.
