Notes |
- Elizabeth is believed to be the daughter of John Jarman but note the following by Stewart Baldwin:
Although Edward Morgan's wife Elizabeth was probably the daughter of John Jarman, this has not been solidly documented. The principal evidence comes from an account given by an aged great-granddaughter of Edward Morgan to a younger relative, which was then reported soon afterward by the latter in a letter. There are also several pieces of primary evidence which lend support to, but do not confirm, the relationship.
According to Gilbert Cope John and Margaret had a daughter Elizabeth but she married Peter Taylor, Jr. and Edward Woodward.
While Thomas Allen Glenn in Welsh Founders of Pennsylvania, p. 195, names Edward's wife as Dorothy, he confuses Edward Morgan with his son Morgan Morgan whose wife was named Dorothy and who died in 1727. - William G. Scroggins, http://files.usgwarchives.net/pa/berks/bios/morgan01.txt
