Notes |
- Joseph wrote his will 2 Apr 1791. He left his beloved wife Margaret the lower level of his dwelling house and one-third the profits of all his land and tenements. He left his son Elisha the one hundrred pounds Elisha already owed him. Joseph next named his son Isaiah, leaving him a plantation in Marple that had been purchased of Walter Jess and a plantation in Providence that Joseph had purchased from James and Mary Lee. Isaiah was to pay to his mother one-third of all the profits during her natural life. Son Owen was to receive a plantation in Marple bought from Charles McMichall with Owen also paying his mother one-third of all profits during her lifetime. Owen was named Executor.
Among the signers of Joseph's son Elisha's 1765 Chester MM marriage certificate were William and Phebe Worrall. I believe William was probably the son of Jonathan Worral and Mary Taylor. William and Elisha would therefore be cousins.
