- There is a record of an adult baptism on 11 May 1845 for an Isaac Leedom, the source given as Records of Neshaminy Presbyterian Church, Warwick, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, 1788-1885. The transcriptions of records online show that on the same day as Isaac's baptism, Matilda and Yardley Leedom were also baptised - but unfortunately neither their parents names nor their ages are provided. I suspect the three Leedoms are siblings but have no confirmation of that.
The given name of Yardley leads me to believe Isaac, Mathilda and Yardley Leedom are children of John Leedom and Ann Yardley. They had four other documented children: Richard Yardley, Samuel, Anne and John Yardley Leedom, born between 1784 and 1798. As the Neshaminy Church baptisms are noted to be adult baptisms no ages are or parents are given. Son Richard's wife, Ann Sterling, is buried at Neshaminy as is their son, James.
There is a Yardley Leedom aged 71 listed in the 1860 Doylestown, Bucks Co census residing in the Bucks County Alms House.
Isaac's profession is given as Butcher in the 1855 marriage record of his daughter, named only as 'F. E.'

Barbara Metz kindly checked out the cemetery stone for me and the Ritchie county records. "Regarding the Leedom's at Toll Gate: Isaac's stone was broken and just sitting on top of the ground. As far as we could see, the bottom was gone or buried in a separate place. A cemetery record from Ritchie Co shows that at one time his age was listed as 83y 6m 16d - but no dates."
The specific age is almost certainly his age at death. He was 80 years old in 1875 as his name and age were among those listed in an article in the Wheeling Register, from the Ritchie Gazette, published 27 Aug 1875, identifying those in the county over the age of 80 years. Unfortunately, I've found no death record or notice for Isaac and the death date I have here is only from Find a Grave which has no sources. Sadly, Find a Grave attaches Isaac to incorrect parents, naming them as Isaac Leedom and Ann Jones. Isaac and Ann did have a son Isaac but he was born 3 Sep 1807 and married Caroline Jones in 1859. Isaac and Caroline were enumerated in census records in Chester Co PA in 1860 and 1870, and in Norristown PA in 1880. This Isaac died 16 Nov 1882 and was buried in Radnor Friends Burial Ground.
Resided in Cameron, Loudon Co VA in 1830. One male 30-40 and 1 male child under 5; one female 30-40 and three daughters, 2 under 5 and one 5-10 years old.

Resided in the 2nd District, known as Cameron Parish, in Loudon Co VA in 1840. The census notes that the division was allotted to Jonah Hood. One male 40-50, one male 20-30, one male child 5-10 and one under five; one female 30-40, 2 females 15-20, one 10-15, 2 females 5-10 and one under 5.
Cannot locate anyone in this family in 1850 in either VA or PA.

Widower at the time of his second marriage to Caroline 'Stazle'. Resided Ritchie Co. Marriage performed by William Carpenter. Isaac's parents are named as John and Nancy Leedom.
