| Notes |
- That Hugh Hart is the father of the younger Hart was based on his son being identified as Hugh Hart Jr. in the 1830 census of Upper Darby, enumerated on the same page as Hugh Hart. I then found the older Hugh in the 1810 and 1840 census records of Upper Darby.
A Hugh Hart married Martha Culin on 15 May 1794 at the First Baptist Church in Philadelphia. I believe it was this Hugh Hart, partly because he's one of only two men of this name I've found in the area and partly because his son Hugh named a daughter 'Martha C.".
Other than these few records I've found nothing about Hugh Hart, Senior or Junior, and am wondering if Hugh was a middle name that he might have used more commonly than his given name?
He was aged older than 45 in the 1810 census and aged 60-70 in the 1830 census, narrowing his birth date to between 1765 and 1770, approximately.
