- He is named as a son, 'Edward J. Hart', in his father's will written 21 Feb 1878 and was to receive a full one sixth share of the estate. He was also named as 'Edward Hart' in Jordan's History of Delaware County, published in 1914. In that volume he is described as deceased, a veteran of the Civil War.
His death date and burial was originally from the W.P.A. transcription of the Old Haverford burial ground in which he was named as 'Edmond'. A Headstone Application for Military Burial card gives his name as 'Edmond' J. Hart but gives his exact birth and death dates. It notes his dates of service, mustered in on 30 Jul 1861 and mustered out on 7 Aug 1865, serving in Co D, 66th Reg. PA Cavalry.
I originally used the name Edward but that was apparently a copying error as a photo of his tombstone at Find A Grave shows him as Edmond.
