Surname spelled differently in different census records, though some are difficult to read also: Dirkshire, Durkesherer. LDS IGI submission of marriage information spells in Dukesherer. Marriage records says Peter the son of John and Katherine (Arnt) Dukesherer who married 25 Oct 1870 in Bainbridge, Berrien MI. Death index card gives his birth date as Nov 1871 in Bainbridge, Berrien MI, died 6 Apr 1945 Benton Twp, Berrien MI at age 73.
