Miss Josephine Huenink Bride Of Joseph Duncan at Cedar Grove Tuesday
Miss Josephine Huenink, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Huenink, of Cedar Grove, and Joseph Duncan, of this city, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Duncan of Scotland, were united in marriage at high noon on Tuesday. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. J. VerStraate at the home of the bride's parents in the presence of only the immediate family and a few intimate friends.
The bride was charming in a gown of poudre blue georgette, trimmed with embroidered organdie and Valenciennes lace. She wore a bandeau of silver, adorned with hand-made flowers, in her hair, and silver slippers and hose completed her costume. Her flowers were an arm bouquet of roses and swansonia.
Mrs. Duncan is a graduate nurse from the Milwaukee hospital and for the past two and one-half years has been assisting physicians in the Sheboygan Clinic. She is well known here.
Mr. Duncan is a physiotherapist at the Clinic, having joined the corps of physicians and surgeons there in November of 1923, and assuming charge of the new physico-therapeutic department. He is a graduate of the Boston university, finished a two year course in physico-therapeutics at Harvard and was associated with Dr. F. Grainger in work at the Boston City hospital, previous to coming here. Mr. Duncan is also an ex-service man, having served two years in the Second Division overseas, and being wounded eight times during the battle of Belleauwood, in France.
Mr. and Mrs. Duncan have gone on a honeymoon trip to St. Paul, Minnesota, where they are attending the Legion convention and after September 25 will be at home to their many friends at 623 National court, this city.
Uncle Joe and Aunt Jo - we kids loved visiting in the summer, sitting in their front yard, sipping ice cold lemonade...
