    • Birth and death dates from Old Haverford Friends burial records W.P.A. transcription which also describe him as the son of George and Margaret P. Dickinson.

      His 1909 funeral was begun at the home of his "brother-in-law" Ellwood P. Leedom, son of John W. Leedom and his wife Hannah Thatcher Worrall.

      Dickinson - On Ninth Month 19th, 1909, J. Owen, son of the late George and Margaret P. Dickinson, aged 38 years. relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral, from the residence of his brother-in-law, Ellwood P. Leedom, 264 Lansdowne, Pa. on Fourth-day, Ninth Month 22d, at 2 P.M. Interment at Haverford Friends' Burial Ground.

      Given name from transcript of his will written 13 Dec 1909 in which he names his sister Mrs. Elizabeth Dickinson Leedom and her daughter Hannah Marguerite Leedom.

      A note in the 25 Feb 1905 New York Times:
      The Berkshire Inn, on South Virginia Avenue, near the beach, reopened for the season last Wednesday under the management of J.O. and J.E. Dickinson.
