- He named himself as 'Henry Crowl' of Frederick County in his will. He died after 6 Sep 1784 when his will was written and before 2 Oct 1784 when it was entered into probate at Frederick Co MD. His will left his land and plantation to his beloved wife Margaret and 25 pounds now lent to Hnery Landis.
He stated that he had already lent his son-in-law Daniel Root land and also the sum of 450 punds. To receive sums equal to that given to to Daniel Root he bequeathed each of his other six children the same sum, the children named as Dewalt Crowel, Michael Crowel, Barbara Young, Henry Crowel, John Crowel, and Seville Crowel.
The witnesses to his will were Daniel Root, Conrad Spoon, and Daniel Richards.
