Notes |
- 'Notes on the Ancestry of Sancha de Ayala' by Nathaniel L. Taylor and Todd A. Farmerie, NEHG Register, Vol. 152, pg 36-44 , Jan 1998 is the source of information about Sancha. The article presents a couple of "potential" royal descents for Sancha, one back 13 generations to Alfonso VI, King of Castile who died 1109 and another back 8 generations to Alfonso IX, King of Leon who died 1230. It states that both descents are problematic and neither is supported in all generations with satisfactory proof.
