John himself was 62 and his wife Rachel had died 2 years prior to this census. I don't know yet which child was living with him in 1830 but Elijah and Ruth Ann were the only ones who were the right age. Elijah wasn't married until Sep of 1830 and presumably did not have young children with him in his father's house. I do not know yet when Ruth Ann married Jacob Carncross but their only known child wasn't born until 1845.
I am very sure that the 90-100 year old woman in his household was his mother, Hannah (Staats).

Notes |
- John's parents are named as Hannah States (Staets in another transcription), wife of Samuel Ledam, in his baptism record:
Low Dutch Reformed Church of North and Southampton-
1768 19 Jun: Johannes, child of Hannah Staets, wife of Samuel Ledam
Samuel settled in Montgomery Co per family records and papers. Also referred to in "History of Delaware County, Pennsylvania", by Henry Graham Ashmead, as "a prosperous farmer in Montgomery County, PA".
Witnesses at his marriage were his parents, Samuel and Hannah, and his brother Daniel, aged 20 years.
Middletown MM records list the births John and Rachel's children with margin notes in a different handwriting noting their disownment or decease.
I've only found two John Leedoms in the southeat PA 1800 census records, one in Southampton and one in Lower Merion. This John is in Lower Merion in the census records of 1820-1840 so the Lower Merion one is most likely his record. John and Rachel are both represented in correct age brackets as are their five children born before 1800. However, there are an extra three males and four females in the census so it seems another unidentified family was living wih John and Rachel in 1800.
Merion Friends Burial Ground records give his death date as shown here, age at death as 74, buried in Row V, gravestone #28. The Leedom Family book has his birth year as 1763 but it is probably a transcription error. His age at death according to the Merion records would give a birth year of 1768, three months before his recorded baptism.
1842 RW 13388 - OC 11521, Book 6, p344 - Index of wills & estate settlements, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, 1784-1850
Radnor MM records of deaths give the same death date for John Leedom, aged 74 years, but give his residence and his burial place as Haverford.
John's land in Lower Merion, at the six mile stone on the Lancaster Turnpike, was placed at public sale in newspaper advertisements in Jan 1843. It was a "tract of 24 acres and 17 perches adjoining the lands of David Roberts and the late Jane Price. The improvements consist of a large two-story stone house, 35 x 45 feet, with a cellar under the whole, divided into five apartments, a pantry and large hall on the first floor, seven rooms on the second with four ceiled garrets, and adjoining kitchen, 16 x 30 feet, two stories high, three wells of water, milk house by the kitchen pump with smoke house over same; a good stone barn with sheds, corn cribs, hen-house and other outbuildings, ice-house, 16 feet in diameter and 22 feet deep filled with ice. There is on the premises two acres of woodland. The land is of excellent natural quality and is divided into convenient fields." Conditions were to be made known at sale by Charles Leedom, Joseph B. Leedom, and Samuel Leedom, John's three oldest sons and administrators of his estate.
