  Notes	In the 1888-1889 Chester City Directory John was listed as employed in a pipe mill and boarded with his brother Charles at 818 W. 8th St. John's occupation is given as Retired Railroad Conductor in his death certificate and his parents are named as Samuel Leedom and Mary Jane Kennard. The informant was his wife Mary E. Leedom and she gave her Husband's birth place as Pleasant Hill MD. Their residence was 125 Lacey St in West Chester. The 1908 birth certificate of John and Mary's daughter Mary gives middle names for all three people, written in different lettering than the other parts of the document. John's middle name is Kennard and his occupation is given as Rail Road Brakeman. Both John and his wife were 38 years old and their residence was 123 Lacey St, West Chester.
